philsci (KAWAMOTO Takayuki) was born in September 1968 at Meguro, Tokyo (JAPAN). In 1997, he got an M.A (philosophy of science) at the Graduate School of Kansai University (Osaka) and entered into the next step, the Graduate School of Kobe University (Hyogo) to read the philosophy of science and logic (esp. the philosophy of mathematics, probability, causation), but he retired for a reason of private situation…
He found LiteStep in 1999 to customize his desktop with icons, wallpapers and tools to make a NeXT-like desktop. And he started to make translations from readme of LiteStep modules and other documentations at his site, now crossedge.net (here). Typically you can find his name in readme of LSXCommand.
Currently he works at a small (but works with big ad agencies as Dentsu, Hakuhodo, Cyber Agent, and JR West Communications) web production as a manager of system division and information security officer (ISMS officer /chief privacy protection officer). He is a Zend Certified Engineer in 2006 and honoured as a finalist of Tokyo Interactive Ad Awards 2009.
