Shell Trek

The following is entirely fictitious. Any resemblance to existing
facts, people, events, places and the likes are extremely coincidental.
That does not mean, however, that you can’t have fun with it!

A New Beginning

In the beginning, a god-like being known as ‘LoneRunner’ said ‘Let there
be liteSTeP!’ — and liteSTeP was created. He perfected his creation to
his satisfaction, until he felt he had to move on. He was unselfish and
he wanted to share the wonderful experience he had while using liteSTeP,
so he unleashed it secrets, and saw it was good.

After sometime, a group of other god-like beings discovered where
liteSTeP’s secrets where hidden. They decided that they should keep it
and raise it as their own. Over time, liteSTeP’s new-found family molded
it to be a very beautiful creation indeed. However, as with any family,
liteSTeP’s family had problems, and some of its members had to leave and
move forward.

While there were those that left, there were always those who came and
joined it’s family. liteSTeP continued to grow, and everybody saw that
it was good.

While most people enjoyed living in the ‘lite’, there were those who
noticed the substance left behind after liteSTeP’s creation. The most
powerful of this group was another god-like being, known as ‘Cyberian’,
who was to be known for the rest of time as the god of ‘DaRK-ness’.

Cyberian gathered the remnants of liteSTeP’s creation and made it live.
He later filled in the holes he thought he saw. When he was finished and
was ready for the first incarnation of his creation, he saw that it was
good. He named it ‘DaRKSTeP’, since it came from the darkness liteSTeP
left in its wake.

In other parts of CyberSpace, two god-like beings have been
contemplating on how liteSTeP has departed far from how they pictured
it. The one known as “jugg” said, “Lo! Look at liteSTeP… it is fine
and stable and fast and cool; but it is phat!” The other, known as
“Ender_Gcc” replied, “Aye… but what shalleth we doeth?” They thought
about it for a while and finally, jugg said, “We make our own
brainchild.”

And so they did. They took an image of an aging incarnation of liteSTeP,
known only as build 112399, and gave it a new life and youth. They
washed away its impurities and its inclination for adultery (going to
bed with those from “foreign languages”), until it was made clean and
pure. They moulded it into their vision of purity and saw that it was
good.

And so it was finally ready to take its first steps in the real world.
What they had dubbed as “PureLS”, because of its purity of soul, was
made to see the blinding light of CyberSpace. It had survived, and now
an inner view into its body was made available, and its creators were
made happy.

Such is the tale of how the vigilante group known as the “xStep
Community” came into a grand existence. But it doesn’t end there… in
fact, this is just a tale of… A New Beginning.
